Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology

Dr. Timothy J. Roupas graduated with Magna Cum Laude Honors from the University of Central Florida in 1998. Upon completing his education in Clinical Psychology, he studied extensively in the fields of speech and hearing sciences. This quickly led to his first experience in the field of Audiology, when accepting a position at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando, Florida where he performed hundreds of newborn hearing screenings and gained valuable early experience in a hospital-based Audiology clinic. This position sparked the interest to pursue the doctoral degree.

In 2005, Dr. Timothy J. Roupas earned his doctoral degree in Audiology from Nova Southeastern University, receiving the prestigious Chancellor’s Award and President’s List Honors. Upon completion of his residency, he joined the Center for Hearing in Naples, Florida as a full-time private practice audiologist. Dr. Roupas is a Fellow member of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology (ADA) and is fully licensed to practice Audiology in the State of Florida. His clinical interests include the comprehensive evaluation of the auditory system, and the professional selection and fitting of premium amplification devices.

When not practicing Audiology, Dr. Roupas enjoys playing golf, attending sporting events, travelling, snow skiing, and listening to music (specifically through his “custom musician pro stage monitor headphones”). Although he resides in Naples, Dr. Roupas admits to escaping to high elevation and cold climates whenever possible. He is originally from the Thousand Islands region of northern New York State on the Canadian border, and has enjoyed many years of fishing and camping in the Adirondack Mountains.
